About

.beer is a new Top Level Domain dedicated to the beer community. From breweries and bars to small and large beer brands, .beer offers the community an alternative to the currently overpopulated .com domain whilst bringing together the worldwide beer community.

Web names that end in .beer mean organizations don’t have to use the word “beer” in their domain name, it already acts as a descriptor. This results in shorter, more memorable domain names, allowing your audience to immediately identify you within the realm of alcoholic beverages, giving you a new, authentic Internet platform to reach your target audiences as well as new International fans/clients.

Our Pioneers

Pioneers are elite figures in the community that have adopted the .beer domain. If you would like to learn more about our pioneer program and are interested in becoming one, please contact susan@mindsandmachines.com.

The Carlsberg Group is one of the leading brewery groups in the world, with a large portfolio of beer and other beverage brands. Their flagship brand – Carlsberg – is one of the best-known beer brands in the world and the Baltika, Carlsberg and Tuborg brands are among the eight biggest brands in Europe. More than 46,000 people work for the Carlsberg Group, and their products are sold in more than 150 markets. In 2014, the Carlsberg Group sold 122 million hectolitres of beer, which is about 37 billion bottles of beer.

Located in the heart of Wine Country, on the corner of Healdsburg’s historic downtown square, Bear Republic Brewing Company offers award-winning food and handcrafted ales. Established in 1995 by third and fourth generation Sonoma County residents, the Norgrove family invites you to come and discover their diverse menu, family friendly atmosphere and 14 freshly brewed beers on tap.

In 2006, we opened our Factory Five Brewery in Cloverdale, just 15 miles North of of our original brewpub in Healdsburg. In 2014, Bear Republic was recognized by the Brewers Association as the 36th largest craft brewery in the United States.

Three-time Large Brewpub of the Year at the Great American Beer Festival, Elysian Brewing Company operates four neighborhood restaurants and a production brewery in Seattle, Washington. Known both for classic styles and for flexibility and innovation, Elysian has brewed over 350 different recipes since opening in 1996. While Elysian's brewers use a variety of unusual ingredients, they are seasonally notorious for their pumpkin beers. Each year Elysian hosts the Great Pumpkin Beer Festival, where dozens of different pumpkin beers are poured, some of them from giant pumpkins.

Lagunitas Brewing Company began in Tony Magee’s kitchen in 1993. From the stovetop, they moved within Northern California to the community of Petaluma. Now, with a new Chicago production facility, they’re bringing their flagship IPA across the pond, emerging as a battle-tested brewery capable of making beer on the surface of the Moon, if need be. With their continued growth, they look to make more sustainable and environmental choices, pioneering long-term trade agreements with malt and hop farmers, while keeping their sense of humor relatively stagnant. After all, beer speaks, people mumble.

Brewers of Indiana Guild was organized in 2000 to provide a unifying voice for the craft breweries and brewpubs of Indiana. We promote public awareness and appreciation for the award-winning quality and variety of beer produced in Indiana, advocate for favorable regulatory treatment from state and federal agencies, provide support to brewers throughout the state, and, along with the City of Indianapolis, co-own Tomlinson Tap Room, where you’ll find only Indiana beers all the time. Brewers of Indiana Guild is the driving force behind the Drink Indiana Beer public awareness campaign which strives to support Indiana’s craft breweries.

These domains are making me thirsty: .beer options arrive for suds sites

New top-level domains have been popping up on the regular for quite a while, and now there's an option for breweries and other suds-focused operations. Starting today, .beer is an option for those looking lock down a new web address thanks to registry outfit Minds + Machines. In fact, US-based Elysian Brewing Company and Bear Republic Brewing Company have already opted in. If you'll recall, .london, .nyc, .scot and many more options are already available as a part of ICANN's internet naming overhaul. Sadly, ilove.beer has been snatched up.
